Alpha HendersonPublished Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Alpha L. Henderson, 71, of Prescott, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Howard County, to John Franklin Dick White and Mabel Hockaday White. She was a retired beautician. She was a Baptist and a member of Redland Extension Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Henderson; two sons, Edward Dale Dixson and Gary Wayne Henderson; and one grandson, Christopher Rogers. Her survivors include one son, John Henderson and Debbie of Prescott; one daughter, Diane Rogers and Bill of Curtis; four step-daughters, Sherry Craig of Delight, Debbie Hoover, Linda Compton and Carol Lingo, all of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Sheena Gibson of Curtis, Kimberly Davis of Gurdon, Amanda Rogers of Curtis, and Jessie and Wyatt Henderson of Prescott; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Revs. Neal Ridling and Jesse Hill officiating. The burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Redland Community near Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
