Heather UnderwoodPublished Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMiss Heather Michelle Underwood, 19, of Hope, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident in Hope. She was born on March 13, 1988, in Hope, to Howard Jerome Underwood Jr. and Deborah Lynne Wise Underwood. She was a student and employee of the School of Hope in Hope. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Howard J. Underwood Sr. and Wannoka Underwood; and her maternal grandparents, George Ray Wise and Elizabeth Wise. Her survivors include her parents, Jerome and Debbie Underwood of Hope; one brother, Daniel Jerome Underwood of Hope; her boyfriend, Larry Jurls of Shongaloo, La.; five aunts and one uncle, Dr. Brenda Davis and Hugh, Rogers, Calvin Underwood and Selena of Stillwater, Okla., Paula Jamison of Broken Bow, Okla., Linda Adams and Raymond of Bradley, Lucy Mooney and James of El Dorado, and Georgia Wilson and David of McNiel; and several cousins. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, with Revs. Byron Mann and Jerry Crane officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope. The family received friends Saturday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
