Hattie Sisson

Mrs. Hattie Mae Sisson, 97, of Laneburg, died July 15, 2007.

She was born July 13, 1910, to Newton Jasper and Minnie Lee Alford Hunter. She married Wilbur E. Sisson Oct. 15, 1927, in Prescott. She was a homemaker and member of the Hope Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Harold L. Sisson; three brothers, Guy William Brown, Jimmy Lee Brown, and Issac Dick Hunter; and two sisters, Louise Lamb and Ruby Barker.

Survivors include three sons, Harley E. Sisson and Martha, Charles E. Sisson, and Gerald W. Sisson and Sarah; one daughter-in-law Sue Sisson, all of Hope; ten grandchildren, Cynthia Cindy Hamilton of Hope, David Sisson and Amy of Magnolia, Harley E. Sisson Jr. and Judy of Russellville, Teresa Sisson of Hope, Chuck Sisson and Rachel of Kosciusko, Miss., Eddie Sisson and Theresa of Blevins, Andria Bittle and Todd of Fayetteville, Regina Sanders and Greg of Conway, Larry Sisson of Hope and Ricky Sisson of Little Rock; nineteen great-grandchildren, Daniel Hamilton and Kyla, Adam, Emily Hamilton, all of Hope, Rachel, Melanie, and Lainey Sisson, of Magnolia, Kara Beth Burnett and Eric of Dallas, Texas, Natalie and Lauren Sisson of Russellville, Johnathan and Zane Sanders of Conway, Spencer and Hattie Bittle of Fayetteville, Shelby, Ryder and Molly Sisson of Blevins, Clint Sisson of Kosciusko, Miss., Ryan Sission of Hope, and Garrett Sisson of Little Rock; and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan Brooke Cox and Kennedy Reece Hamilton of Hope.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, with Mr. Larry Culbreath and Mr. Travis Robertson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Rosston. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

The family received friends Monday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
