BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, March 10, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune We were sorry to hear of the death of Mattie (Andrews) Malone. Mattie lived a lot of her life in our community. She was in her 90's. We extend our sympathy to her loved ones. Harold and Thelma White of Van Buren did some visiting with relatives and friends during the weekend. J.L. Ward, Billy and Reba House, Joyce House, Betty and Jim Roberson, Ralph Taylor, and Harvey and Faye Taylor visited in the homes of Harvey and Faye, Donnie Rinkle, Lenord and Faye House and Chloe Orren. Everett and Mary Orren enjoyed watching some of Arkansas' winning basketball games in the tournament with Jim and Leann Meador. Agatha Cowart of Idabel, Okla., spent most of last week with her mother, Annie May Hooks. They had supper Wednesday night with Billy and Diane Blankenship of Ashdown. Mary Ann Lucas had a birthday last week. Some of her visitors were Theresa Grifford and daughter, Denice, roy and Syble Brown, Judy Allen, Margie Luca and Willie and myself. Happy birthday to Katie (Hooks) Holder. She will be 95 Saturday. Some of the Pete Jester family had supper with Darlene and Joe Mac Young and their family of Hope Saturday night.
