Edna KellyPublished Wednesday, July 11, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Edna Mae Callaway Kelly, of Rosston, died on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born on Dec. 27, 1926, at Hollywood to Eugene and Clara Callaway. She taught in a one-room school in Hollywood community after her graduation from Arkadelphia High School. In 1946, she married John Nolen Kelly and moved to Rosston where Mr. Kelly was employed as a lineman for South Central Electric. They raised their three children in the Rosston community. Edna served asa rural carrier for twelve years and has also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was city recorder for the City of Rosston and was a current member of the Rosston City Council. Even though she had been unable to attend church regularly, she was a member of the Willisville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nolen Kelly and her youngest son, Robert (Bob) Kelly. Her survivors include a son, Johnny Kelly of Rosston; a daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Glyndon Franklin of Cale; three sisters, Jeanie Taylor of Prescott, and Vivian Duke and Kathleen Fulmer, both of Arkadelphia; one grandson, Robert Kelly of Rosston; two granddaughters, Nicole and Isaac Ruiz of Prescott, and Jamie Kelly of DeQueen; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Ruiz and Bubba Ruiz of Prescott, Abby Morris and Beau Morris of DeQueen; several nieces nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 5, at Mt. Moriah Church in Rosston, with Revs. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Larry Jones officiating. The burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Rosston. The family received friends Wednesday, July 4, from 6-8 p.m., at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Funds, 812 Mt.
