Estell Loe

Estell Loe, 97, of Rosston, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born Feb. 20, 1910, in Sutton. Mrs. Loe was a homemaker and the oldest member of the Union Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Loe; two sons, Jewel Loe Jr. and James Ronald Bud Loe; two daughters, Evalee Loe and Nancy Loe; and two grandchildren, Michael Loe and Matthew Loe.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Quitman Loe and Betty of Springhill, La., Wayne Loe and Bettie, and Travis Loe and Lynn, all of Bodcaw; three daughters, Lucy Velera Mason and Fred of Springhill, La., Dorothy Ladd of Springhill, and Sue Floyd and Bobby of Laneburg; one daughter-in-law, Mel Loe of Farmerville, La.; one brother and sister-in-law, Clifford Palmer and Karen of Little Rock; three sisters, Margaret Yancey of Sheridan and Louise Raley and Blanche Ball, both of East End; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren..

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 1, at the Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw, with Revs. Joe Brown, Mike Ward, Jerry Evans and Wayne Langston officiating, with burial in the Corinth Cemetery in Bodcaw, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday night at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps.
