Emma FergusonPublished Wednesday, July 4, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneEmma Lee Ferguson, 89, of El Dorado, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at her residence. She was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Nevada County. She was the daughter of Charles Matthew and Nancy Pauline Hawley McMillian. She worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company in El Dorado, Camden and Little Rock for more than 20 years and retired in Little Rock in 1981. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Razorbacks. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alvin Maloch and Boyd Ferguson; her parents; three brothers, Glen, Cecil and Charles McMillan; and two sisters, Bessie Jones and Grace Antoon Bryant. She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Jo Maloch Hansen and Margaret Pauline Maloch Brucker and husband Dave; a son, Boyd Cleveland Ferguson and wife Cammy; one sister, Edith Gibbs; three grandchildren, Dina Jo Jester and husband Donnie, Robby Hansen and wife Cindy, and Blake Selman and wife April; four step-grandchildren, Doug and David Howell, Jonathan Panton and Jennifer Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Angela, Ashley, Michael, Jeremy Jester, Kristen and Matt Hansen, and Emma and Amanda Selman, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 29, at College Avenue Church of Christ, with Dr. Dan Williams and Ray Parks officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m. in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Prescott. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Perrys Funeral Chapel in El Dorado.
