Florine BradleyPublished Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesFlorine Bradley a native of Gurdon and a former long-time resident of both Oakland and Richmond, Calif., went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2007. Florine was born in Gurdon on Oct. 1, 1923. Florine met and married Coydell Bradley, also of Gurdon. They moved to California in 1942 where Florine worked as a waitress, Naval hospital worker, classroom educational aide and homemaker. Florine was a well-known and respected member of both the Oakland and Richmond, Calif., communities. She is survived by Cynthia J. Mapp and several grandchildren. Mourning her loss are her devoted brother-in-law, Billy J. Bradley of Oakland, Calif.; and caring nieces and nephews, Pamela Tyler of Tracy, Calif., Barry Bradley of Oakland, Calif., Michael Bradley of El Cerrito, Calif., Sherri Mackay of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Jacqueline Hughes of Hayward, Calif., Kim Bradley of Pueblo, Colo., and Sean Bradley of Antioch, Calif. Mrs. Bradley is also survived by a large extended family, including nieces, nephews, Godchildren, long-time friends, neighbors and Coronado Elementary School former co-workers. Her loving husband, Coydell Bradley, preceded her in death. A grave side memorial service was held on Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m. at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, 4100 Hilltop Drive, Richmond, CA 94803. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations, in memory in memory of Florine Bradley, to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., seventh floor, New York, NY 10001, or online at alzfdn.org.
