Carol HortonPublished Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesCarol Sue Horton, age 65, of Camden passed away Monday, June 11, 2007, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She was born July 10, 1941, to Winfred C. and Virginia Neathery. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Douglas E. Horton; one son, Eddie Horton and wife, Kathy of Camden; one daughter, Shari Parker and husband, Dwayne, of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren, Katie Horton of Camden, Ryan Parker and Neathery Parker, both of Arkadelphia; and one aunt, Dorothy Clements, of Vidor, Texas. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church of Camden, where she was on staff as church pianist. She graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor of music education degree, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. She taught music in the Camden Public School system and taught private voice and piano lessons. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at Hillside Baptist Church in Camden with Rev.
