Jackson FergusonPublished Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Jackson F. Ferguson, 74, of Blacksburg, Va., formerly of Prescott, died Monday, June 11, 2007, in Blacksburg. He was born on March 7, 1933, in Pine Bluff, to B.V. and Margaret Jones Ferguson. He graduated from Wake Forest and Tulane. He was a retired professor from Virginia Tech with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include one special friend, Janice Cheryl Neely of Blacksburg, Va. The grave side service was at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 14, at De Anne Cemetery, in Prescott, with the Rev. John Atchison officiating. Burial followed the service.
