William "Bill" WrightPublished Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesWilliam H. Bill Wright, 80, of Gurdon died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Arkadelphia. Born August 12, 1926, in Naples, Texas, to William Luther and Emmie Powell Wright, he was a member of Red Springs Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jo Wright. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Billy J. and Linda Wright of Smackover and Alan Wright of Gurdon; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wanda and Lonnie Weatherford, Nancy and Mike Ford, and Rebecca Cooper, all of Gurdon; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel of Hot Springs with Brother Mike Black officiating. Pallbearers were Mickey Ford, Mark Ford, Kevin Wright, Craig Weatherford, Brock Harper, Jim White, Ryan Cox and Mark Francis. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Jackson, Charles Hays, Clyde Weatherington, Pat Berry, Artis Fendley, Eddie Harper, Jimmy Hampton, Austin Gullet, Jimmy Nixon, Don Smith and Wayne Terry.
