Rubye McDaniel

Mrs. Rubey McDaniel, 86, of Kansas City, Miss., formerly of Prescott, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Lees Summit Hospital in Kansas City, Miss.

She was born on September 27, 1920, in Prescott, to the union of Jyner and Estella Warren. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Thomas Baptist Church. Rubye was married early in life to Henry James, and to this union one child was born, Johnny L. James. She later married William English and to this three children were born; Ona Enlgish Johnson, Herschel English, and Annie English Porter, all of Kansas City, Miss. She moved to Kansas City, Miss. in 2004, and united with Citadel of Prayer City of Hope under the leadership of Pastor Viola Sanders.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Johnny L. James and Herschel English; one daughter, Ona English Johnson and six siblings.

Survivors include, one daughter, Annie Porter of Kansas City, Miss.; one sister, Freddie Hubbard and Frederick of Raymore, Miss.; one brother, Jessie Warrenof Blevins; one brother-in-law, Judge Wise of Hope; two stepchildren; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. D.R. Gulley officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family received friends Monday, January 11, from 9-11 a.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
