Mrs. Elsie Lorraine Morrow Lewis, 93, of Nashville, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville.

She was born on May 10, 1914, in Prescott, to John and Amelia Cook Morrow. She was a homemaker and retired nurses aid from Hillcrest Care and Rehab of Prescott. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thurman Lewis; two sisters, Elba Lucas and Eunice Snodgrass and one grandson, Jeff Butler.

Her survivors include one son, Steven Lewis and Martha Lucia Lewis of Nashville; five daughters, Athena Ann Cummings of Little Rock, Walen Howell of Santa Barbara, Calif., Halcyon Butler of Texarkana, Jauan Lewis of Dallas, Texas, and Delia Pittman of Prescott; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The grave side service was at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 27, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

The family received friends Saturday, May 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
