E. L. ParksPublished Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Edmond L. E. L. Parks, 89, of Blevins, died Friday, May 25, 2007, at his home. He was born on Oct. 10, 1917, in Nevada County, to Edgar Allen and Nettie Lee Hasley Parks. He was a retired Hempstead County Deputy Sheriff, former Blevins constable, and former Little Rock police officer. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Keron O. Baker Parks; two sons, Homer Allen Parks and Eddie Parks; and one brother, Arnold William Parks. His survivors include two sons, Freddie Parks Sr. and Genavie of Blevins and Steven Parks and Donna of Prescott; four daughters, Bobbie Phillips and Ray of Prescott, Paulette Jones and Gary of Fountain Valley, Calif., Judy Rose Parks of Blevins, and Nevada Faye Clark and Grant of Hope; one sister, Donnie Ann Stroud and Richard of Perrytown; one sister-in-law, Barbara Morrow and Tommy of Nashville; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Monday, May 28, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with the Rev. Freddie Parks Jr. officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Redland Community, near Prescott. The arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
