Nadine WortmanPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Nadine Dillard Wortman, 72, of Rosston, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at her home. She was born in Rosston on April 8, 1935, to Hollis A. and Edith Mathis Dillard. She was a member of the Lafferty Road Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas. Her honeymoon night and her last night on earth were spent in the same room in the same home. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Doyle Dillard; and one sister, Edna Ruth Hurley. Her survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, the Rev. Hershell Wortman of Rosston; one son, Kevin Wortman of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Rene Bickerstaff of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Charlie and Wallace Dillard, both of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, John Montgomery of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer Montgomery of Fort Worth, Texas; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral servicec were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope, with the Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. Burial was in Rosston Cemetery in Rosston. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. The family received friends Sunday, May 20, from 4-6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
