Charlie SpencerPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneCharlie Ernest Spencer, 80, of Prescott, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, May 18, 2007. Mr. Spencer was a retired carpenter, an US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Park Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Leada Lewis Spencer of Prescott; two daughters, Nancy and Bob Zumwalt of Prescott and Becky Collins of Prescott; stepdaughters, Linda and Mike Howell of Pensacola, Fla., and Nada and Henry Corley of Smackover; stepsons, Danny and Lisa Glass of Prescott and Tommy and Michelle Glass of Prescott; stepdaughter, Becky and James Gilland of Prescott; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild. Funeral services were Sunday, May 20, at 4 p.m. in Park Missionary Baptist Church, with interment at Caney Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home. Visitation was Saturday, May 19, at Shackelford Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. The online guest book is available at www.shackelfordfuneralhome.net.
