Gerald HendersonPublished Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Gerald Alan Jerry Henderson, 61, of Prescott since 1998, formerly of Pittsburgh, Penn., died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday, April 28, 2007. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1963. He graduated from Allegheny Community College, where he was named to the deans list, with an associates degree in child development. He was a retired federal government employee of 30 years; a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War; and was employed by K.B.R., working in Iraq at the time of his death. He is the son of the late Ronald and Louise Henderson of Mansfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Reddick, and his brother, Ronald Henderson, both of Pittsburgh, Penn. His survivors include his wife of 38 years, Darlene Quillen Henderson of Prescott; two sons, David Henderson and Shannon of Prescott and Brian Henderson and Carla of Hot Springs; two cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Henderson of Prescott; two loved stepgrandchildren, Vince Marchese of England and PFC Chase Marchese of Ft. Hood, Texas; and one niece, Johanna Wierjchowski of Pittsburgh, Penn. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, May 4, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott, with the Rev. Perry Johnson officiating. Burial was in the DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
