Ouida Williams

Mrs. Ouida Marie Williams, 82, of Bodcaw, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born in McKinney, Texas, on Feb. 28, 1925, to Johnny Wesley and Estelle Flossie Blurton Shewbirt. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Bodcaw Baptist Church in Bodcaw, and the W.M.A.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Raydon Williams, who died in 1982; one daughter, Nancy Kathleen Gogan; two brothers, Johnny and Billy Shewbirt; and one sister, Betty Jean Shewbirt Johnson.

Her survivors include two sons, Don Lee Williams and Carolyn of Houston, Texas, and Damon Ray Williams and Terri of Bodcaw; one daughter, Sandra Gail Martin and Buddy of Spring Hill; one brother, Doyle Ray Shewbirt of Troup, Texas; one sister, Patricia Fraser of Bodcaw; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 3, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope, with the Revs. Ray Boman and Jerry Evans officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Bodcaw. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.

The family received friends Wednesday, May 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
