Dixon Is CandidatePublished Wednesday, March 10, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesTerry and Sherry Thomason, owners of Thomason's Big Star in Gurdon and Bismarck, are proud to be the corporate sponsors of Courtney Dixon as a candidate for the Miss Arkansas National Preteen pageant. The pageant, which will be held in Fort Smith, is an academic, as well as achievement- based pageant. Courtney is the daughter of Terry Dixon, store manager of Thomason's Big Star in Gurdon, and Shanna Dixon of Gurdon, and Felicia Hardage of Bismarck. She is a fourth grade student at Bismarck Elementary School. Courtney would like to thank her sponsors for their support and hopes to do her best to represent the communities of Gurdon and Bismarck, her school and sponsors. She also looks forward to showing her support of Thomason's Big Star in Gurdon by participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for their grand opening celebration to be held March 10 (today, Wednesday) at 9 a.m. She would like to invite the citizens of Gurdon to join her in this special event.
