Spring Nuptials Planned For Cook, JohnsonPublished Wednesday, March 10, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesMr. and Mrs. Charles Cook of Taylor announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jenni Lynn, to T.J. Johnson. Mr. Johnson is the son of Tommy and Margie Johnson of Prescott and Julia and Dwight McNair of Gurdon. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Mrs. Milbra Faye Payne of Taylor and Mrs. Betty Thompson of Magnolia. Great grandmother is Mrs. Edna Williams of Magnolia. Miss Cook is a 1997 graduate of Taylor High School. She is currently employed by Play World of Conway. She will graduate from Central Baptist College in May with an AA. The bride-elect then will attend University of Central Arkansas, where she will major in social studies with an emphasis in history. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Johnson of Prescott and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald King of Gurdon. His great grandmother is Mrs. Elizabeth Murrah of Prescott. Mr. Johnson is a 1996 graduate of Gurdon High School. He is currently employed by Smitty's Barbecue in Conway. He is a Bible major with an emphasis in pastoral studies. The garden wedding will take place on May 15 at 1:00 p.m at the courtyard of First Baptist Church of Taylor. Bro. Jerry Evans will be officiating.
