Phena HicksPublished Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Phena Glass Hicks, 76, of Caney, Morris Community, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Josephs Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born April 3, 1931, in Antioch, to Harl and Maud White Glass. She was a homemaker, mother and pastors wife for more than 54 years. She was a member of Forrest Hill Baptist Church in Emmet, where her husband currently serves as pastor. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include her husband of 59 years, Rev. Raymond L. Hicks of Caney; two sons, Gary Lee Hicks and Paul Raymond Hicks, both of Caney; one daughter, Sandra Brown of Arkadelphia; one brother, Bearl Glass of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Sunday, April 15, at Morris Baptist Church in Caney, with Revs. James Doyle Glass and Sam Tamburo officiating. Burial was in Caney Cemetery in Caney. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Saturday, April 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzle/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
