Deborah AndersonPublished Wednesday, April 4, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesDeborah Debbie Kay Anderson, died March 27, 2007. Debbie was born on Oct. 11, 1959, the daughter of John R. and Beverly Bohme Gosney in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married Andy Anderson on May 30, 1981. She is survived by her husband; three children, Jonathon Albert, a student at Olivet Nazarene University, Jordan Scott, a student at Eastern Illinois University and Rachel Karen, at home; a stepdaughter, Michelle Evans and husband Steve and stepgranddaughter, Daysha Evans, all of Charleston; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Sherry Gosney of Gurdon; father-in-law, Albert Anderson of Charleston; and sisters and brothers-in-law, April and husband Brian Karrick of Ashmore and Kristina and husband Michael Currey of Neoga. She was preceded in death by her parents. Debbie graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1981 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse in the special procedures department at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center since 1985 and was a member of the East Side Church of Nazarene. She made the Walk to Emmaus in 2001. Debbie said the the very best part of my life has been being mom and being married to my best friend. Visitation was at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive in Charleston, on Thursday, March 29, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services were held at the East Side Church of the Nazarene, 2129 S. Ninth Street in Martoon on Friday, March 28, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Chicago, Ill.
