Madge Kirkpatrick

Mrs. Madge Kirkpatrick, 83, of Hope, formerly of Greenland, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on March 3, 1924, in Westfork, to George Ernest and Winona Stockberger Lindsey. She was a homemaker and graduate of Greenland High School. She was a long-time member of the Baptist Ford Community Church of Greenland; active in the Baptist Ford Home Demonstration Club; numerous other community organizations and charitable organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Wathen Terrence Kirkpatrick and one brother, Harold Rip Lindsey.

Her survivors include one son, Terry Kirkpatrick and Grace of Hope; one daughter, Annette Darling and Boyd of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Andy Darling and Ben Darling of Fayetteville, Matthew Kirkpatrick of Greenville and Wesley Kirkpatrick of Tillar; and three great-grandchildren, Annelise, Evan and Coda.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, at Baptist Ford Community Church in Greenland, with Rev. Ervin Hutchins officiating. Burial was in Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Wednesday, March 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Ford Community Church, c/o Rev. Ervin Hutchins, 356 South Napier St., Fayetteville, AR 72701.
