Amelia Keen

Amelia Ann Keen, age 55, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.

She was born on December 18, 1951, in Hot Springs, the daughter of James Turner and Martha Shoemaker Hart.

Amelia was a 1985 graduate of West Ark Community College. She was a nurse and a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church.

Amelia was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert "Butch" Keen of Gurdon; one daughter, Crystal McCool of Mountain View one son, James Keen of Benton; her mother, Martha Hart of Gurdon; and five grandchildren.

Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Gurdon with Pastor Bill O'Connell and Jackie McCool officiating.

Interment will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Sean O'Connell, Jim Riley, Ernesto Juarez, Kenneth O'Connell, Jared Keen and Dustin Bryant. Honorary pallbearer was James Keen Jr.

Family hours were from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Calvary United Pentecostal Church, P. O. Box 254, Gurdon, AR 71743. Services are under the direction of Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
