Mitchell Mitch Bradley Pierce, 51, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, March 5, 2007, in Luling, La.

He was born in Little Rock on Dec.13, 1955, the son of the late Olen and Jessie Bradley Pierce. Mitch was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, a United

States Navy veteran and a retired ABC agent. He was a graduate of Texarkana Community College with a degree in criminal justice and an alumni of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Mitchs 30-year career in law enforcement included the Arkadelphia Police Department (1977-1978), Clark County Sheriff9s Office (1982-1993), Gurdon Police Department (1993-1994), Henderson State University Security (1994-1995), Law Enforcement Training Academy (1995-1998) and Alcohol Beverage Control (1998-2006).

Mitch is survived by two daughters, Alicia Benson and her husband, Daniel, and Cynamon Pierce of Arkadelphia; one son, Keith Perkins and his wife, Rachael, of East End; three grandchildren, Madilyn, Alex and Mika Perkins of East End; one sister, Trudy Conzel and her husband, Johnny, of Arkadelphia;

and one niece, Kristin Conzel of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Third Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Savage and the Rev. Greg Lathem

officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Joan.

Pallbearers will be Bob Winnas, Jason Moore, Terry Nelson, Mike Eason, Al Harris, Johnny Gould, John Thomas and George Tackett.

Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, C/O Virginia Phelps, 3114 Hwy. 51 North, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia is in charge of arrangements.

Family hours were from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at Welch Funeral Home.
