Donald CearleyPublished Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneDonald G. Cearley, 75, of Taylor, died March 1, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Cearley was born Jan. 15, 1932, near Laneburg, to Rolly and Vadna Waddle Cearley in Nevada County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Taylor and retired from the Arkansas Highway Transportation Department in 1994. Mr. Cearley joined the Masters Builders, a Christian church building organization and was lead carpenter for the group from 1998 to 2006 when his illness stopped him from traveling with the group. He is survived by his wife of 55 = years, Nada Bright Cearley, whom he loved dearly; one son, David Cearley and wife Dianne of Hooks, Texas; three daughters, Kelly Williams and husband, Rev. Ken of Marengo, Ill., Dr. Lisa Toms and husband, Jimmy of Taylor, and Jeana Cearley of Prairie Grove; nine grandchildren, Kim Cearley of Nash, Texas, Dana Cearley of Paris, Texas, Monica Cearley of Texarkana, Aaron Williams and wife, Michelle of Redmond, Wash., Jessica Williams of Allen, Texas, Jennifer Williams of Lombard, Ill., Russ and Grant Toms, both of Magnolia, and Rayli Toms of Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kaleb and Delayna; one uncle, Jody Waddle of Mineral Springs; and many other family and friends. Pallbearers were the Revs. Joe Brown and Ed Phillips, Jerry Evans and Chris Lucy, and Jurd Weeks, Dalton Allison. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Masters Builders. Funeral services were Saturday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Taylor, with Bro. Randy Wilson and Roy Tilley officiating.
