Tom "Bussy" Lee Jr.

Tom B. "Bussy" Lee Jr., age 92, of Arkadelphia, formerly of Prescott, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Baptist Medical Center-Arkadelphia.

He was born September 14, 1914, in Boughton, the son of the late Tom B. and Aletha Cummins Lee Sr. Tom was retired from the National Guard after 35 years of service and holds the distinction of having the Prescott armory bear his name.

On Sunday, May 23, 1982, in a formal dedication ceremony the armory in Prescott was officially named the Tom B. Lee Jr. Arkansas National Guard Armory.

Tom was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Eugene Lee.

Tom is survived by one niece, Rosemary Lee of Arkadelphia.

Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held at 3 p.m.

Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Piney Grove cemetery at Boughton with the Rev. Neil Ridling officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Nevada County Cancer Society, P.O. Box 622, Prescott, AR 71857. Arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. The online guest book is available at www.welchfh.net.
