Margie HughesPublished Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesMargie Mae Hughes, 74, of Gurdon, died Wednesday. Margie was the Owner of Hughes Pews Cushion, member of Center Point Baptist Church and was the church pianist and Sunday school teacher for 25 years. She is survived by; four daughters, Audrey Purdy and Johnny of Dewitt, Alice Day and Alan of Edmond, Okla., Anita White and Doug of Tillar, and Janie Capps and Bo of Dewitt; two sisters, Melba Webb of Whelen Springs and Becky Cogbill of Hope; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A memorial maybe made to the Baptist Hospice of Arkadelphia or Center Point Baptist Church. Funeral services were Saturday at 10 a.m. in Center Point Baptist Church. Interment followed in DeRoche Cemetery near Bismarck by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon. You may sign the online guest book at www.hornefuneralhome.net.
