Windle Hamilton

Mr. Windle Ray Hamilton, 63, of Buckner, formerly of Emmet, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 29, 1943, in Nevada County, to Joe T. and Sarah Louis Ray Hamilton. He was a former Hope policeman, Prescott policeman, and former deputy of the Nevada County Sheriffs Office.

He was a Baptist and member of the Army National Guard for six years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Bertha Hamilton of Buckner; three daughters, Kristy Colvin of Little Rock, Teresa Williams of Blevins, and K.T. Hamilton of Emmet; one stepson, Wendell Lewis of Waldo; two stepdaughters, Cathy Lewis and Nancy Leslie, both of Magnloia; one brother, Bill Hamilton and Margaret of Emmet; two grandchildren, Lori and Joe Leslie of Magnolia; one great-grandchild, Makala Leslie of Magnolia; two nephews, David Hamilton of Searcy and Jason Hamilton of Emmet; and two stepnephews, Stephen Ponder of Springdale and Tony Ponder of Kingsport, Tenn.

Grave side services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, with the Rev. Richard Brown and the Rev. Andy Hawkins officiating. Burial followed.

Family received friends Monday, Feb. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
