Florence Tucker

Mrs. Florence Margaret McCants Tucker, 82, of Hope, formerly of Caney, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1925, in Prescott, to William Chester and Gladys Marie Stalcup McCants. She was a homemaker and former nurses aid at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L. E. Tucker, who died in November of 2001; one brother, Coy McCants; and two sisters, Bessie Hutchison and Lera Mae Husky.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie G. Tucker and Gail of Hope; one daughter, Charlotte A. Tinsley and Bob of Weatherford, Texas; one brother, Charles McCants of Sulphur Springs, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Coy Tucker, Karena Tinsley Cooper and Jay Tinsley; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, at Caney Cemetery in Caney, with the Rev. Jim Cross officiating. Burial followed.

Family received friends Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
