Malvin C. Pigg

Malvin C. Pigg was born on September 16, 1929, in Saline, La., to the late Lincoln and Lilly Mae Pigg. He departed this life on Feb. 6, 2007. He joined the Church of the Living God, the pillar and ground of the truth, at an early age under the leadership of the late O.B. Allen.

Malvin was a farmer and became a log cutter early in life until his retirement. He also began his ministry during the year of 1979. He later became an ordained minister on Oct. 9, 1980.

On Sept. 30, 1959, Malvin married Earnestine Williams in Flagstaff, Ariz. Later on in life, during the year 2000, he married Attie Mae Allen.

Malvin is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, three brothers, and his first wife. He leaves to cherish his memories his wide Attie Mae Pigg of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Joyce Candleyt of El Dorado and Sherrill Allen of Arkadelphia; one brother, Obed Pigg; one sister, Velma Wiggins; three step-children, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, his church family and many special friends.
