Man arrested for October robberyBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in the Nevada County Picayune The Prescott Police Department has charged one man in connection with the October 28 robbery of a local convenience store. According to information from the PPD, Lamar Holmes, 30, 414 First St., has been charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property and felon in possession of a firearm. Holmes was already incarcerated in the Nevada County Jail on unrelated charges, PPD Detective David Thomason said. PPD Police Chief Bryan Russell said the charges are the result of a lengthy investigation by PPD officers. A Prescott man was arrested two times over a two-day period for possession of marijuana, according to records on file at the Prescott Police Department. Terry Williams, 21, 359 Warren, was arrested on Feb. 3 for possession of marijuana and for causing damage to a car. According to information from the police department, Williams was released from jail early on Feb. 4. At 7:30 a.m., Feb. 4, officers were called to a West Elm residence where Williams was reportedly causing a problem. When officers arrived, Williams was in the street and was again placed in custody. According to the report filed by PPD officer Wesley Lovette, Williams had 16.2 grams of marijuana in his possession at the time of the second arrest. The PPD made three arrests after they were alerted to a break-in at Prescott Rubber this week. According to a report filed by PPD Detective David Thomason, Patrick Elmer, 18, 337 West Elm, and Jessie Lee Loe, 19, of the same address, were arrested along with a juvenile after officers found several stolen items in their possession. Thomasons report indicates that a red tool box and a cutting torch were among the stolen items. Thomason indicated that someone had broken a side window in order to enter the facility. Some $50 in cash was also reported missing and the thieves apparently discharged several fire extinguishers outside the back door of the building. Tracks left in the foam was among the evidence gathered, and reportedly matched the tires on the vehicle at the home of the suspects. Both Loe and Elmer have been released on bond, according to Thomason.
