Mary Lou KingPublished Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesMary Lou Beachamp King, age 82, of Sparkman, died on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on Feb. 12, 1924, in Brown Springs, the daughter of the late Joseph Cisroe and Mary Lee Case Beachamp. Mary Lou was a waitress and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Sonny King. Mary Lou is survived by four daughters, Gerrie Lynn Sweatman of Ogden, Utah, Ann McClure and her husband, Dennis, of Gurdon, Treva Gipson and her husband, David of Sparkman and Rose Marie Hughes and her husband, Glen of Whelen Springs; one sister, Frances Garrett of Friendship; two nephews, Jimmy Garrett of Friendship and Elbert Roberts of Midway; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Caddo Valley Cemetery with the Mark Trammel officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Saunders, Butch Gray, Roger Hammonds, Jimmy Garrett, Billy D Trammell and Elbert Roberts. Memorials may be made to Caddo Valley Cemetery Fund. Family hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
