Joseph HartPublished Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneJoseph Sherrell Hart, 75, of Arkadelphia, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Laneburg, the son of the late Eddie M. and Ruth Bolls Hart. He was a retired employee of 38 years for Georgia Pacific and vice president/general manager of Tri-State Mill Supply. He was 1956 graduate of Southern State University receiving a bachelors degree in Business. He served as president of the student body his senior year and president of the Alumni Association in the 70s . He was on the Board of Directors for the Crossett Chamber of Commerce and Crossett Rotary Club and also a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a Korean War army veteran, a Gideon, a deacon and Sunday school teacher (4th grade boys) at the Crossett Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Allen Hart; two daughters, Allyson Mitchell of Senatobia, Miss. and Dianne Kellogg of Springdale; one sister, Rachel Vaden of North Little Rock; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at the First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone and Will Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Snell Cemetery near Emmet.
