Mary Ann Fore

Mary Ann Easterling Fore, 91, of Little Rock, formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at a hospice facility in Little Rock.

She was born one of six children on Nov. 9, 1915, in Laneburg to James Thomas and Dora Sampson Easterling. She graduated from Laneburg High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Prescott. She loved to work for the Prescott School System while her children were in school and retired from Prescott Manufacturing Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Garland Reed Shorty Fore; three brothers, J.T., Woodrow, and Doug Easterling; and one grandson, David Michael Petty.

Her survivors include two daughters, Judy Petty and Jerry of Plano, Texas and Pamela Herring and Joe of Little Rock; one brother, Calvin Easterling and Beulah of North Little Rock; one sister, Vivien Marguerite Rowe of North Little Rock; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Easterling of Little Rock and Helen Easterling of Trinity, Texas; two granddaughters, Lynn Krautter and Ken of Carrollton, Texas and Amanda Rothwell and Rusty of Alexander; one grandson, John Petty and Julie of Plano, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Kellie Krautter of Carrollter, Texas, Carissa Petty of Plano, Texas, Reagan Lea Rothwell of Alexander, due on March 6; one grandson, Cameron Petty of Plano, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 5, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Monday, Feb. 5, prior to the service beginning at 12:30 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church, 201 East Main St., Prescott, AR 71857.
