Helen DalrymplePublished Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneHelen Buchanan Dalrymple, 97, of Prescott, passed from this life on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007. She was born Dec. 20, 1909, to Dr. A.S. and Ethel Tompkins Buchanan. She was an educator, a life long resident of Prescott and the oldest living member of First Presbyterian Church of Prescott where she was a member for over 85 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 60 years, Carl Dalrymple, Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Lanora Dalrymple. She is survived by one son, Carl Dalrymple, Jr. of Prescott; one sister, Katherine Buchanan of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Nita Kay Freeman and Greg of Conway, Al Dalrymple and Teresa and Katherine Crain and Brad, all of Prescott; nine great-grandchildren, Mary Katherine, Emma and Jackson Freeman of Conway, Ashley Clayborn, Dalton, Lane, and Jesse Dalrymple and Hank and Georgie Crain all of Prescott. Visitation was Saturday, Feb. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott. Graveside services were at DeAnn Cemetery Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Prescott.
