Mary Jane MillerPublished Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Mary Jane Walters Miller, 95, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on November 22, 1911, in Mt. Ida to Henry K. and Jencie E. Plyler Walters, the fourth of seven children. She married Watson Miller on Nov. 28, 1931, and they shared 41 years together before his death. The couple lived in Prescott all their married life except for brief periods in Spring Hill, La. and Little Rock. Mrs. Miller moved to Arlington in her later years to be near her family. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Watson H. Miller, who died Dec. 29, 1972; and by her brothers, Lewis and Elmer Walters; by her sisters, Edna West, Elsie McKissack and Loren Lindsey. Her survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Herloise Thompson and Jim of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters, Melissa Ott and Charlie of North Richland Hills, Texas and Edie Pope and Drennan of Fort Worth, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Chad Ott and Emily Ott of North Richland Hills, Texas; one sister, Pauline Pearson of Prescott; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Sat., Jan. 20, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Jimmy Teeter and Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Midway Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Fri., Jan. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
