Mary Jo Clark

Mary Jo McCorkle Clark, 87, of Hope, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born in Columbus on May 10, 1919, to George and Iva Mitchell McCorkle. She was a retired P.C.A. nurse for 15 years and retired from Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was a member of Providence Memorial Baptist Church in Perrytown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her survivors include her husband of 68 years, Bryan Clark of Hope; two sons, Charles Ray Clark and LaRae of Wake Village, Texas, and Gary Dean Clark and Kathy of Hope; two grandchildren, Stacey Clark Davis and Richard of Magnolia and Kevin Clark and Amy of Hope; three great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tatum Davis of Magnolia and Kaylee Clark of Hope; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Rev. James Honeycutt officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
