Grady HasleyPublished Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneGrady Hasley, 74, of Hope, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born in Emmet, on July 3, 1932, to J.E. Hasley Sr. and Dicie Tucker Hasley. He was retired from Meyers Bakery of Hope. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hope and the Century Bible Class of Hope. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from the Army National Guard. He was a 32 degree Mason and member of Whitfield Masonic Lodge #239, and assistant Scout Master of Troop #91 and Troop #5. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest, J.E. Jr. and an infant baby brother; three sisters, Dicie Hasley, Ann Gordon and June Blackwell; and his wifes parents, J.K. and Latus McDonald. His survivors include his wife of 48 years, Canelia McDonald Hasley of Hope; one son, Shawn Hasley and Jill of Nashville; and two granddaughters, Brittany and Allison of Nashville. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating. Masonic graveside service was at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Monday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
