Minnie JonesPublished Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMinnie Lois Jones, 93, of Victoria, Texas, formerly of Prescott, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at LaBahia Nursing Home in Victoria, Texas. She was born on Jan. 23, 1913, in Wilson, Okla., to D.D. and Minnie Kendrick Weatherford. She was a retired nurse. She was a member of the Harmony Primitive Baptist Church of Donaldson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben Jones, who died Jan. 22, 1988; two sons, Tommy Jones and Bobby Jones; one daughter, Deborah Kay Jones; two brothers and six sisters. Her survivors include one son, Teddy Jones and Chris of Prescott; one daughter, Dorothy Paterson and Don of Goliad, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Boles of Wasco, Calif., and Rachel Kirkland of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, with the Rev. Charles Sandage officiating. Burial followed.
