Thomas LeonardPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Thomas R. Leonard, 54, of Hope, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. He was born Jan. 29, 1952, in Blytheville, to H. Russell and Genola Helms Leonard. He was a supervisor at Southern Bakery of Hope with 36 plus years of service. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Richard Leonard; and one sister, Sharon Leonard Golden. His survivors include two sons, Thomas Chad Leonard and Elizabeth and Cory Medlin and Jessica, all of Springfield, Tenn.; one daughter, Shannon Phillips and Rodney of Hope; his mother, Genola Leonard Cornelius of Hope; one brother, Russell Leonard and Gail of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three sisters, Sue Endsley and Ron of Hope, Janey Morrow and Larry of Prescott, and Rhonda Brown and Johnny of Texarkana; five grandchildren, Jessica Leonard, Savannah Leonard, Tony Hernandez, Devyn Bernhardt and Peyton Leonard; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Revs. David Porterfield and Frank Roth officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Jan. 7, from 4-6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
