Prescott man dies in Hot Springs accidentBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Nevada County Picayune A Prescott man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Hot Springs Friday, Jan. 5. Andrew Sims, 481 Nevada 35 South, was taken to the emergency room at St. Josephs Medical Center in Hot Springs, where he died, according to a report issued by the Arkansas State Police. The report indicates that Jason L. Johns, 20, of Arkadelphia, was driving the 1993 Ford and Sims was a passenger in that car. Johns was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the report, Sims vehicle pulled onto Highway 270 into the path of an oncoming pickup driven by Jared Fuller of Host Springs. The Fuller vehicle struck Johns car on the drivers side. The report states that Johns was pronounced dead at the scene and that Fuller was not injured. According to the report, Johns was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
