Billy V. McClurePublished Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesBilly Vester McClure, 62, of Gurdon, died Dec. 24, 2006, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia. He was born May 8, 1944, in Vaden, the son of the late John and Gertie Hammonds McClure. He was retired from International Paper Co. and a member of Beech Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred Suzanne McClure; and two grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Sue Mauldin McClure of Gurdon; one son Bill Wayne McClure of Gurdon; three daughters, Tonia Kinder and Kim Collins of Gurdon and Cyndi Bullard of Searcy; three brothers, Delmas McClure, John McClure and Abe McClure, all of Gurdon; two sisters LaVelle Easley of Arkadelphia and Mary Helen Gordon of Conway; and 10 grandchildren. The funeral was at 10 a.m. Dec. 28 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Burial was in Easley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Easley Cemetery Fund.
