Timothy W. DownsPublished Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesTimothy Wayne Downs, 50, of Camden, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at his home. He was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Little Rock, the son of Bobby and Jacqueline Green Downs. Tim was a graduate of Gurdon High School, a heavy equipment operator, a member of the Methodist church and a United States Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Pipkin and her husband, Glen, of Camden; a son, Luke Downs of Oklahoma; a sister, Diane Downs Newton and her husband, Chris, of South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Kallie Marie and Melanie Ann Pipkin of Camden. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Dec. 31 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 107 N. Ninth St., Arkadelphia, Ark. 71923. Family hours were from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 29, at Welch Funeral Home.
