Loyd BearPublished Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesLoyd E. Bear, 76, of Benton, formerly of Gurdon, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006. He was an employee of Arkla Gas, a member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include one son, Mark Bear of Oakman, Ala.; his mother, Estelle Bear of Gurdon; four brothers, Gilbert Bear of Benton, Wayne Bear of Arkadelphia, Bobby Bear of Union Point, Ga., and Roy Bear of Hot Springs; two sisters, Joyce Parrish of Pearcy and Beverly Boyce of Maumelle; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Gurdon with the interment in Easley Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
