Susie M. Giles

Susie Mae Giles, 77, of Gurdon died Dec. 18, 2006, at Baptist

Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia. She was born March 1, 1929, in Gurdon,

daughter of the late Ira and Willie Mae Beavers Osborne. She was a homemaker

and a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by

her husband, Willie Giles Sr.

Survivors include: Six sons, Willie Giles Jr. and Larry Giles of Gurdon and

Joe Giles, Ray Giles, Roy Lee Giles and Richard Giles of Lansing, Mich.;

three daughters, Bertha Giles of Arkadelphia and Diana Garland and Marilyn

Giles of Gurdon; one sister, Lidya Russey of Little Rock; and 26

grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Eastern Star Baptist Church with Rev.

James H. Giles Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery under

the direction of Williams Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Charles Anderson, Nate Giles, Phillip Giles, Adrian

Orsborne, Dwight Orsborne and Jonnie Smith.

Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
