The faces havent really changed, but several of the staff members at the Nevada County Department of Health and Human Services have new duties.

I have left my position as administrator, said Edie Greenwood.

Greenwood has accepted a position as community health nurse specialist and will now be working with school nurses within the South West Arkansas Educational Cooperative.

Her decision to make that move created an opening for administrator which has been filled by Debbie Henderson.

Two additional changes at the health department have occurred over the past few months. Rita Stokes is now the clinic nurse and Susan Smith took Hendersons spot as clinic coordinator.

Greenwood said she had been administrator for about 5 years. She said the change is a positive move.

Its just something Ive always wanted to do, she said. I love to teach.

That position is not going to take her away from Prescott all the time.

Im not gone, she said. Im just different.

Meanwhile, Henderson has already stepped into her new role. As administrator, Henderson has a variety of tasks. Among those is the opportunity to work with members of the community, helping to raise awareness of various health issues - especially those pertinent to the Nevada County area. Henderson will also work closely with the Prescott-Nevada County Health Alliance.
