Delight woman arrested

A Delight woman was arrested in Prescott after the Prescott Police Department K-9 officer indicated that drugs were inside the vehicle.

Marilyn Kaye Martin, 51, 4406 Highway 301 South, Delight, was arrested Dec. 11. According to a police report filed by PPD Assistant Chief Ann Jordan, Martin was stopped on Highway 19 North because she had driven over the fog line. Jordans report indicates that Martin began to act in a very nervous manner when a second PPD officer arrived at the scene. Thats when Jordan called for PPD K-9 Officer Duchess and K-9 Officer John Pettit.

Jordans report indicates that Duchess alerted on both sides of the vehicle, indicating that drugs were inside the car. When officers searched the white 1994 Chevrolet pickup, they found a small mini plastic baggy containing a pink rock like substance that officers believed to be methamphetamine. Officers also found a glass pipe, typically used for the consumption of the drug, Jordans report stated.

Martin was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was taken to the Nevada County Jail, according to the report.
