Many have breakfast with Santa

Theres little doubt that a minute or two of Santas attention was a big part of the Breakfast with Sant event held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Potlatch Building Dec. 16, but there was plenty more to keep kids, parents and members of the community busy.

The gingerbread man decorations were a big hit with some children creating works of art and others racing to see how much icing can be piled on a cookie.

And of course, magic reindeer food was very important. Children were allowed to add glitter to the mix, with many youngsters figuring out just how much of each color it would take to attract the attention of the reindeer.

The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce collected some ??? cans of food during the event. That food will be distributed to needy families in the area during the Christmas holidays.
