Mackey DavisPublished Wednesday, December 13, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesMackey Wayne Davis, 59, of Auburn, Calif. died of lung cancer at his home with his family surrounding his bed, November 21, 2006. He is the son of deceased Loly and Gladys Davis and he was born on November 25, 1946 in Gurdon, where he also graduated from Gurdon High School. He married Suzanne Long, from Michigan in Santa Barbara, Calif. and later moved to Auburn, Calif. where he started a prosperous business, Mack Davis Woodwork, selling different woodworking products at various craft shows on the West Coast. Survivors include his wife Suzanne; daughters, Jessica Jagger of Surprise, Ariz. and Colleen Davis of Roseville, Calif.; two granddaughters, Kayla and Lindsey Jagger; one sister, Sudie Kinder of Gurdon; and two brothers, Charles Davis of Oak Harbor, Wash. and Billy Davis of Nevada City, Calif. Mackey was a friend to all and will be missed by man.
